Telemedicine: Qare acquires Doctopsy
[ad_1]
The amount of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
"The merger with Doctopsy is part of Qare's strategy to facilitate access to care and improve the monitoring of patients in general and specialty medicine, by supporting health professionals in the development of their practice ", underlined the telemedicine platform in a press release.
This acquisition will allow Qare to structure its expertise in mental health, with the integration of the teams and services developed by Doctopsy around teleconsultation and monitoring of people with mental disorders.
Created in 2016 by Fanny Jacq, psychiatrist, and Benjamin Maquet, entrepreneur, Doctopsy facilitates patient access to mental health professionals by making online appointments and teleconsultation.
It makes it possible to respond to the difficulties of access to this specialty such as geographic distance, physical or mental handicap and the uneven distribution of professionals on the territory. Professionals can therefore offer their patients remote monitoring in a secure and confidential setting.
Doctopsy's activity was completed in 2019 by the development of the My Sherpa application, in partnership with researchers from the CNRS and the Institute of the Brain and Spinal Cord (ICM).
