TempTraq – The smart health connected thermometer
The TempTraq smart health connected thermometer from Blue Spark Technologies was presented this morning at CES 2015.
The TempTraq smart health connected Thermometer is a device that allows parents to simply monitoring their own temperature or their child's temperature for up to 24 hours. The TempTraq smart health connected thermometer connects via bluetooth has a flexible battery and is used using an application compatible with Apple or Anroïd terminals.
John Gannon, President of Blue Spark Technologies explains, “TempTraq allows parents to keep an eye on their child's temperature without having to disturb them constantly. Our wireless thermometer gives parents peace of mind. This is the only way to monitoring a sick child. To use it, TempTraq users simply press the "start" button to activate the thermometer, then connect the device to their application with a unique code which is used for synchronization. When the user's smartphone is within range of the thermometer, they can easily review data and receive alerts from up to 12 meters away.
The company says the thermometer is incredibly accurate for temperatures between 30 ° and 42 °. The device provides real-time temperature and temperature history transmitted by the patch, allowing caregivers to see fluctuations and quickly adjust treatment.
The device also has a simplified temperature reading process by providing easy-to-follow colors that indicate temperature levels: green, minus 38 °; orange, equal to or greater than 38 °; red, equal to or higher than the user-defined temperature level. If a temperature of children or adults rises in the red zone, an alert can be sent.
If a parent wants to share the temperature with a doctor, TempTraq offers the option of sending data in the form of an email. Blue Spark Technologies has also created areas where parents can keep track of what their child is eating and drinking or when they are taking medication.
If you have more than one device and multiple sick children at health home, TempTraq can also monitoring multiple devices at the same time. Currently, TempTraq is still awaiting FDA approval for premarketing, but is expected to be available in 2015.
