The Android Wear ZTE smartwatch will be 4G

And yes, Android Wear is not dead and this new smartwatch proves it to us. Chinese manufacturer ZTE has just announced that its first smart health connected watch with Android Wear. This ZTE smartwatch will therefore work with the first installment of the Google Os and will be available later in 2017.

This ZTE smartwatch echoes other announcements, such as those from Casio and New Balance, which took place last week at CES in Las Vegas. The downside of these chain ads is that they could mean that Android Wear 2.0 could still experience a delay in making them available to manufacturers and therefore users. A situation that is starting to become a routine…

ZTE smartwatch

But back to this famous ZTE smartwatch. It looks like this autonomous mount, equipped with 4G, will benefit from a worldwide release. ZTE has already set up a network in the United States to ensure its marketing. Lixin Cheng, CEO of ZTE USA, also hinted that we could expect to see a smart health connected watch with an exceptionally long battery life.

Apart from this information, we do not know much more at the moment but obviously, the brand seems to be betting a lot on this product. As a reminder, the Axon Watch (which you can see here in the photo) was only sold on Chinese territory. She was using the Chinese Tencent TOS + platform. This watch was equipped with a 1.4 inch screen, 400 X 400 and a 300mAh battery.

As with Huawei’s next VR headset, ZTE will unveil a watch in Android Wear for the United States and Europe and will continue to work with TOS + in China. Obviously, I would keep you informed of the latest developments as the brand's communications progress.
