The augmented reality ski mask
[ad_1]
A start-up has developed an augmented reality ski mask: the RideOn currently in the crowndfunding campaign on Indiegogo.
Ski and play
The RideOn is a working ski or snowboard helmet almost like Google Glass. The information is virtually projected before the eyes and superimposed on the real world at a distance of 4.5m in the field of vision.Like Google Glass, the helmet is bluetooth smart health connected to your smartphone but he is not dependent on any external device to be controlled so there is no mobile app or voice control device, it can be controlled only with the eyes.
It is equipped with Clear-Vu display technology which is a French patent. Yes, French Tech is everywhere, even on the slopes! The graphics are extremely bright for optimal visibility despite the strong reflection of the snow.
RideOn offers different applications such as a virtual slalom or even a GPS. He may even make your friends appear virtually on the track for a “chase” mode.
But that's not all, it also allows you to geo-locate your friends on the slopes, call them or send them a SMS. And if you are in a playful mood send them virtual snowballs on their helmet! You can never be too tall to have a little fun.
RideOn is also equipped with a on-board HD camera to film your exploits and share everything on social networks. There, there is nothing to really get carried away, because the helmet has only one 1GB memory… Hopefully we can put a memory card in there.
Unfortunately for the Apple Addict, for now the headset will not be available only on Android, but it's likely that the RideOn team will crack under the pressure of the apple.
