The intuitive operation and the sharp and bright display attract attention.
The short battery life is less nice. The battery is empty after a day at the latest, even with moderate use. NFC, GPS, heartbeat sensor and compass are not installed, which is why the watch is not suitable for sports and training monitoring.
The price of just under 220 euros is justified due to the good workmanship despite the lack of GPS, heartbeat sensor, NFC and compass. The Q Explorist looks great and is also suitable for lovers of beautiful and classic analog watches.
Samsung Gear Sport

The only watch with Samsung’s Tizen operating system scores not only for its ease of use, but also for its lavish technical equipment and successful design. The workmanship is good and the operation of the Tizen watch is easier and more intuitive than with systems with Wear OS. The battery lasts between three and six days, depending on the intensity of use.
We just don’t like the confusing Tizen app shop and the selection of app titles compared to Wear OS.
For a price of less than 250 dollars, the Gear Sport offers everything you would expect from a reasonable smartwatch. However, the modern design and tizen are not for everyone.
If you want to use your watch as a fitness tracker at the same time, you should use Samsung’s Gear Sport. If you prefer a watch with Wear OS, you have to be satisfied with the simple processing of the Wear 2 from Huawei.
If you are looking for the classic design of an analog watch, you have to do without GPS and, above all, a heart rate sensor and use Q Explorist. The biggest drawback of Fossil’s gem is its short battery life.
Smartwatches $250 to $ 600
Skagen Falster

The metal bracelet is not particularly high quality and the battery life is short with just one day. Instead of charging by induction, the manufacturer relies on exposed charging contacts. If dust settles and forms corrosion after several months of use, charging problems may arise.
If you want to stay true to your brand, you have to put up with a few compromises in terms of equipment with the TH24 / 7 you. If you buy the watch anyway, you should choose a variant with a leather strap.
Hugo Boss connected

If you don’t see your smartwatch as a sports companion, but rather as fashionable accessories, the smart health connected is a fine piece of jewelry with a smart interior. The price is reasonable for a Hugo Boss product.
Huawei Watch GT 2

Negative are the exposed charging contacts and the inaccurate GPS. Even the relatively bulky case cannot score in the Review.
If you absolutely need the addition Porsche Design, you pay a hefty surcharge compared to the standard model from Huawei. Otherwise, the smartwatch is reliable and very well equipped.
The higher-priced smartwatches score particularly well with their good design and melodious names. Except for the Watch 2 in Porsche design, the equipment is reduced to the bare minimum. So if you choose a watch in this price range, you pay primarily for the feeling of wearing a branded product on your wrist. If you want to use the smartwatch in this price range as a fitness tracker, you should choose the Porsche Design P9820.
Smartwatches from $1000
Montblanc Summit

Anyone who chooses the watch beyond the 1000 dollars mark gets the smart health connected Modular 45, a high-quality smart health watch with good features. The additional price compared to other models is justified primarily by the use of expensive and exclusive materials.
In addition to the price and design, the two luxury watches differ primarily in their technical equipment. While Montblanc uses a heartbeat sensor, Tag Heuer uses GPS and NFC. Neither model is fully equipped. Whether Summit or smart health connected Modular 45 is ultimately a question of taste and the wallet.
Conclusion
Good luxury smartwatches are not automatically expensive. If it is primarily about function and equipment, we recommend buying the Samsung Gear Sport. If you prefer to work with Wear OS instead of Tizen, you should take a look at the also cheap Huawei Watch 2. If you accept shorter battery life and do without GPS and heartbeat sensor, the Fossil Q Explorist, for less than 250 euros, is a really chic model with an analog watch design.
If brand name, design and material selection are more important than the built-in technology, brand loyalty and the budget play a role. Whether Skagen, Tommy Hilfiger or Hugo Boss: no model has any clear advantages over the other watches. Only the P9820 from Porsche Design is an exception. However, here too, you pay a lot for the image name. Technically, the watch does not differ from the much cheaper counterpart from Huawei.
Even with the luxury smartwatches from Montblanc and Tag Heuer, the hefty price is only due to exclusive material and the brand.
