French start-up Dreem has released a new version of its headband. The Dreem 2 has a revised design, new materials and better sound quality.

Like his predecessor, the Dreem 2 tries to improve the quality of your sleep by identifying problems beforehand. To do this, it analyzes brain activity, heart rate and movements overnight.

It is thus much more reliable than a watch or a smart health connected bracelet. The mobile application dedicated to the device will then instill you habits to adopt to have a good sleep. In addition, Dreem 2 will send sound waves through your skull to improve your deep sleep.

A headband Dreem 2 more comfortable

Dreem engineers have made sure preserve as much as possible the design of the old version. However, this is a brand new device. It offers a higher level of comfort, essential for a product that will be worn overnight. The frontal band is therefore completely flexible and adapts perfectly to the shape of the skull. In addition, foam and fabric now cover the entire surface of the device. The latter is therefore softer to the touch. Result: according to the start-up, this second generation improves comfort to use for 45% of consumers.

More effective sound vibrations

The company has also reviewed the technology it uses to broadcast sound waves through the skull. The headband sends a series of vibrations to the brain at regular intervals to stimulate deep sleep. In this way, the engineers managed to improve by 40% the quality of the waves audio. And they realized this despite the physical limitations imposed by a human skull.

All these improvements are available at a price that is 100 euros lower than the previous version. The Dreem 2 headband is therefore 399 euros. Good deal when you know that a bad sleep can cause many psychic troubles.
