The set of three eero routers is contained in a single box. Embedded in small alcoves, the three devices are protected by a foam that lines the inside flank of the cover. Once removed, you have access to the rest of the equipment, which is a very quick start-up guide, as well as three power outlets and an Ethernet cable. The whole is well presented and shows a certain guarantee of product quality. Small note, if Amazon bought eero earlier this year, the company does not advertise it, at least on the box. You have to search before you find a single mention of it.

Design and ergonomics of the eero Wi-Fi system

The eero devices are like bevelled cubes with the upper surface covered with a reflective layer which gives a nice effect. The eero logo, slightly in relief, is affixed in the center. Its chrome touch makes the whole elegant. Relatively thick, this little router will nevertheless blend into any room in the house thanks to its white tone, even off-white. When plugged in, a light line at the base of the top is lit continuously. It can however be deactivated in the device settings, on the application, to prevent the indicator light from interfering at night. A welcome option.

The length of the power plug cable is approximately 1.50m. So, unless you use an extension, the box cannot be placed on a high shelf and will prefer low furniture. The Ethernet cable is very short, which means that one of the devices has to be bonded to the source modem.

Use of the eero Wi-Fi system

The installation manual in the box is very brief. Indeed, everything is explained in the application. Once downloaded, it step-by-step guide for the user to start the system correctly. You must first create an eero account, then follow the instructions. The application recommends unplugging its modem and everything smart health connected to it first. Then a device can come and plug in.

Generally, we had no trouble connecting the router to the internet, then configure the other devices, scattered over the entire surface to be covered. The operation only took a few minutes.

Note that we have tested connecting the eero Wi-Fi system to our modem while it was not disconnected, but still smart health connected to the internet. Gold it also worked and the network was found, without causing any interruptions. On the other hand, we cannot advise to do the same since this is not what is indicated in the instructions.

Once the entire system was configured, we smart health connected several devices to it, such as a television and various smart health connected objects. They immediately recognized the network and were able to connect to the internet thanks to him. The nature of the connection was stable and had no problems.
