The first anti-snoring smart health connected patch: Silent Partner

With 2,118 donors and over $ 150,000 raised Silent Partner, the first smart health connected patch preventing snoring, will land in late 2016.

It wasn't that long ago that we were telling you about Nora, a substantially similar project aimed at stopping snoring. Silent Partner comes in the form of a patch light and non-intrusive which is placed on either side of the sleeper's nose subject to snoring.

Solutions are not lacking but are not always comfortable, Silent Partner seems to respond to this discomfort. The patch is flexible in order to adapt to all shapes and sizes. Equipped with 2 small light adhesives, the patch will not slip during your sleep. To get it started, nothing more simple; you just have to place it properly, turn it on and go to bed.

In a more technical way, the patch will capture and detect the frequency and amplitude of snoring. It will then generate an inverted sound wave based on destructive interference: the two waves, once confronted, cancel. This innovative technique called “subwavelength active noise cancellation” allows more precise noise reduction around snoring. The device consists of 2 batteries, a USB charging port, 2 resonance chambers, microphone and an on / off button.

Available for pre-order on Indiegogo for $ 59 the patches will be delivered at the end of 2016.
