The first health home automation camera from Zyxel

Zyxel, a company known for its network products has unveiled Aurora, its first camera dedicated to health home security. You will see that this little camera is quite different from its competitors.

Aurora Cloud Access, that's its full name, is already very different in terms of design. The camera is housed in a triangular body which rests on a metal rod smart health connected to its base. Measuring almost 13 cm high, this health home automation camera was sure to attract all eyes.

The base of the camera is magnetic, so it is possible to place it on a table or shelf or fix it on a metal surface. You can also fix it on a wall or ceiling with the mounting kit provided. Finally, you can also remove the case from its support.

The Aurora has a 145-degree field of view with a resolution of up to 1080p. It can record ehealth 24/7 or only when it detects motion. In the latter case, it can send you notifications via the application or alert you with an e-mail; or both. She also supports night vision via LED and has a built-in microphone and speaker for two-way communication.

You can store up to 16 GB of ehealth and images. On-board storage is not expandable, but if you need it, ZyXel spokesperson explains that the Aurora is compatible with Synology NVR and Surveillance Station solution, which includes intelligent ehealth analytics and other ehealth surveillance tools.

Overall, the Aurora is a good security camera, but its companion app, which is certainly version 1.0, really blocks it. When you receive motion alerts, the uncertainty of waiting for access to your camera can make the situation pretty unbearable. Presumably, these issues will be resolved in future software updates for the Aurora and its application.
