This is the story of a life, or at least a slice of life for Michael J. Fox. In 1989, in Back to the Future 2, he wore a pair of self-styling Nike on the screen and made them famous. Back on the course of these shoes now become reality.

What could have remained in the state of cinematographic dream was transformed into a project when in 2007, Tinker Hatfield, one of the most famous designers of the brand, undertook to create this innovative shoe. A first version, without the self-healing technology, had already been auctioned in 2011 for the benefit of the Michael J. Fox Foundation which fights against the Parkinson's disease suffered by the actor. Last year, Michael J. Fox himself was invited to Review the first truly self-healing pair: the Nike Back to the Future 2 finally existed.

But what is this shoe really? The Nike Mag Autolacing is a smart shoe which, in addition to lacerating itself, adjusts according to the pressure felt by its owner. Thanks to discreet buttons, he can easily tighten or loosen the laces if needed. To complete this, an LED system warns him of the available battery. Finally, and this is the most important for a shoe, they are light enough and comfortable to wear compared to the famous Air Jordan 1!

Today, 89 pairs of these Nike Mag Self-Pacing are available. This time, these shoes are not auctioned but can be won through a giant lottery. To hope to become the proud owner of these Nike of the future, you have to buy a ticket on nike.com/mag for a modest fee of $ 10 (about 9 €). The entries will be blocked on October 11 and the winners announced on the 17th! Since these shoes are 100% sold for the benefit of the Michael J. Fox Foundation, the number of entries has not been limited and you can try your luck several times.

This contest is open to Nike + account holders residing in the United States or Canada, a great way for the brand to increase the number of its customers while probably paying a very nice check to the Michael J. Fox Foundation. Hope this product of the future will soon be available without restriction for the French public!
