the smart health connected collar for gamers

Seattle-based startup OmniWear has just unveiled its brand new wearable for gamers: The Arc smart health connected collar. It’s a smart health smart health connected object that gives you a "sixth sense" when playing ehealth games.

The product unveiled by OmniWear is worn around the neck. Hooked up like a necklace and provides haptic feedback in a gaming environment. To use it, nothing could be simpler, you just have to pair it with a smartphone in order to play games like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive or the League of Legends. Other games should soon also be compatible with this device.

So how does it work? When you play Counter-Strike, The Arc emits vibrations depending on the location of each visible enemy. If it is behind you, at your right shoulder, the vibration will be felt there. A real asset that fans of the fighting game will appreciate.

You can also change their frequency by changing the intensity of the vibrations. The goal is therefore to limit visual distractions for wearers in order to improve their reaction times. But then, isn't that cheating? I don't think so, but it's clearly a tactical advantage. When I discovered this product, I immediately thought of using it for virtual reality. It would be a real complementary product for this type of technology. It would strengthen the sensations felt in VR.
