THE smart health connected sports suit
[ad_1]
Tracky by ProjectPOLE is a smart health connected sports suit with sensors allowing you to manage and optimize your training.
THE sports suit
Today when we talk to you about wearables intended for the sports practice you immediately think of smart health connected watches and bracelets. And yet, the Tracky jumpsuit from the Indian start-up ProjectPOLE may well replace these kinds of accessories. Indeed, the features it offers are more numerous and more advanced than what the average watch or bracelet offers.
Technology fully exploited
Tracky is equipped with heart rate, respiratory and temperature sensor and motion sensors placed at arms, forearms, thighs and calves. So, with the app on your smartphone, you can follow your training in detail. This allows you to define aims (lose 5kg, beat a race record …) and generate for you a custom exercise campaign to succeed.
During the activity, you receive a real-time feedback on your performance, and advice when you're not making the right moves in order toavoid injury. On your screen, visualize your postures in 3D and recommended actions. In addition, the app analyzes your heart and respiratory rate, and determines the effort you provide. So if you force too much, it alerts you and offers you the adequate distribution of your training periods and your recovery times.
No need to be smart health connected 24 hours a day
If your smartphone is not smart health connected to your suit, you obviously do not receive any notification during your training. However, all the information collected by the sensors is stored in the hub Tracky and will be transferred once the smartphone is smart health connected by bluetooth. Then you can also transfer this data to your personal computer via USB.
A really smart device
Another point where the Tracky device is really smart is in its learning. Because yes, the combination understands your movements, and can add some unknown exercises to its database. It has more than 186 training models, 198 sports techniques, 126 yoga movements, 13 types of campaign, for a total more than 1137 exercises.
For the moment, a dozen sports and fitness are available (football, boxing, cycling, yoga …), but others are under development and the open programming interface allows any developer to integrate their favorite discipline.
Be proud of your progress
The Tracky application also has a part communal. Once your profile is created, you can share your training, results and advice with your friends and other athletes. You can also link your account to it Facebook or Twitter and show your progress there.
Eat better
Another interesting feature of the application: diet. In fact, depending on your objective, the sports practiced, the result of your training, and your physical condition, Tracky recommends a personalized diet, which evolves according to your progress. Besides, you know how many calories you burn during your training.
Stay clean
The Tracky suit is washable. If you are afraid for your sensors, do not worry, they do not need to go to the machine. Indeed the device is ingenious because it allows the user to detach the sensors during washing. All that remains is simple tight-fitting sportswear. You can even buy multiple sets of clothes and interchange sensors when one is dirty.
A campaign that is barely starting
A crowdfunding campaign was launched on January 27 on Indiegogo and will end on March 13. For the moment, the start-up has not not received much support. We exceeded half the time and the project only collected $ 9,000 over $ 30,000, is 30% of the objective.
However, even if it is not yet possible to try it, the Tracky system seems to be innovative and offer a wide range of features.
A price that can cool
If the product looks interesting and innovative, its price can quickly cool you, unless you quickly take advantage of the reduction on the pre-order on indiegogo. You will have to spend $ 179 (157 €) for the complete pack containing the top and bottom of the suit and the different sensors, and add $ 25 (22 €) for delivery in Europe. You can also pre-order an additional set of clothing for $ 72 (63 €). No subscription won't be necessary afterwards, but that's just for those who have pre-ordered.
If you are waiting for the official release of Tracky, you will have to pay $ 250 (220 €) and then pay one $ 9.99 monthly subscription (€ 8.80) per sport practiced. The first deliveries are scheduled for september 2020 and the application is currently only compatible with iOS and Android, a Windows Phone version will be launched in the future.
It is quite expensive, but on the other hand, most of the applications which offer you a complete training program and / or monitoring of your diet such as Freeletics, also requests a subscription every month, but does not allow a analysis of your physical performance.
A complete product
The idea ofincorporate sensors directly into clothing in order to follow his sports training is not not yet widespread. We had already mentioned Heddoko, a start-up that also developed clothes equipped with movement sensors. Nevertheless, the combination Tracky seems to suggest more features and a more complete application. We will have to wait until September to find out if ProjectPOLE designed here a reliable and easy to use product.
