Wagner is said to have partly composed his Parsifal. Maupassant, for his part, praised in his travelogue Wandering Life, its magnificent garden populated by “admirable tropical plants”. Located on the edge of Palermo, not far from Monreale and its opulent Arab-Norman cathedral, Villa Tasca has also, more recently, made viewers dream of The White Lotus, recently awarded at the Golden Globes. Surrounded by a lush ten-hectare jungle that was once a formal gardenthe admirable Villa Tasca has been owned since the 16e century, of one of the most important families of winegrowers in Italy – the Tasca d’Almerita. Trompe-l’oeil frescoes (which would also have inspired the credits of the series, already cult), majolica ceramic floors, sculpted marbles, crystal chandeliers… Crowned heads and artists were the first to take advantage of this sumptuous decor, which a swimming pool is now added.
