This AusAir mask filters viruses and pollution while smelling flowers
With its stylish look, this reusable mask from the AusAir brand blocks viruses and pollution while giving off floral scents. The product that everyone is going to wrest with coronavirus ?
Made by the Australian startup AusAir, this mask is distinguished mainly by 2 qualities: an ergonomic design and its filters with natural spring fragrances. To succeed in their project, the creators collaborated with the University of Sydney.
An antivirus mask that we would wear even without the coronavirus
From the design of the mask, AusAir took into account the factors that are really important for the consumer. So the end product has a unique design that prevents fogging and facilitates breathing.
The part in contact with the nose is covered with a memory foam for increased comfort. Hidden inside, a aluminum nose clip keeps it in place.
Finally, we must not forget the fabric that constitutes the filter itself. It consists of several layers that capture up to 97% of particles, viruses and microbes in the air. In fact, it is one of the first masks with PM2.5 filters which catch any particle of at least 2.5 microns.
The AusAir mask gives off botanical scents
If AusAir has made its mask pleasant to look at and wear while protecting us from pollution and pathogens, the brand does not stop there. Optionally, a botanical filter offers a choice of lavender, eucalyptus or tea tree scent.
What could be better than breathing Australian scents to start off a good start on a cold winter day? But this mask can also be useful in summer in the event of a forest fire. Indeed, its carbon filters reduce the inhalation of toxic fumes.
In any case, the internal filters are replaced after 1 month of use.
If you are interested, the mask of AusAir is still in the form of a project on Kickstarter where it can be pre-ordered for AU $ 55 (around € 32.5). Once out, it will cost AU $ 90 (around € 53). Delivery scheduled for June 2020.
