Timex IronMan GPS +: a limited smart health connected watch

[ad_1]

The IronMan One GPS + is the Timex smart health connected watch. Armed with a 3G connection, it is above all made for hardened runners.

The One GPS + smartwatch is a stand-alone smart health connected watch (no need to pair it with a smartphone). It allows, thanks to its Integrated GPS, track your routes and track your distance, speed and share data on social media and online fitness platforms (we don't know the partners, but we can think of Runtastic or Runkeeper for example). In addition to that, it has a mail system and a music player (smart health connected to Bluetooth headsets). What sets it apart from most smart health connected watches on the market is its 3G connectivity, which does not make it dependent on a smartphone. A partnership with the operator AT&T allows, in the United States, to benefit from a data subscription offered for one year for the purchase of the watch.

A "SOS" mode allows you to send a message with your location to friends and family if you have any concerns. The watch is water resistant up to 50 meters. No information has been given on the life of the battery (it must therefore be low), which is a crucial data, and the price is set at $ 399.95!

Timex falls into two categories with the IronMan GPS +: LG G Watch smartwatches, and classic GPS watches like Garmin models or the Nike + SportWatch. In the first category, she suffers from technical shortcomings and a rough design. In the second, its price and its probable autonomy are prejudicial to it.

What do you think of this watch? Feel free to give us your feedback in the comments.
