To remedy this problem, CannVerify has created holographic labels with their own serial numbers. When the label is scanned, the serial number is entered into a database based on the blockchain. Bloom Automation: a robot to automate cannabis manicure

To make life easier for farmers, Bloom Automation, a Massachusetts-based startup, has created a robot that can handle this hard work. Currently in beta, the robot uses a machine learning algorithm and computer vision technology to distinguish heads and leaves.

To achieve this level of precision, the machine has been trained with over 6000 images of cannabis plants. On each picture, the leaves were colored in one color, and the flowers in another. Thanks to this intensive training, the robot will soon be able to perform the manicure three times faster than a human.

Also in the field of robotics, Capna Systems has created a huge machine capable of automating the extraction of cannabis plants. A machine that should complement the work of Seedo robot that cultivates cannabis alone.

Braingrid: an IoT sensor to optimize cannabis harvest

Based in Toronto, the startup Braingrid has created a smart health connected sensor capable of collecting meteorological data. By analyzing this data, the sensor can then offer suggestions to the grower to enable him to optimize his harvest.

The idea is to grow the plant under ideal conditions depending on the weather conditions. For example, depending on the climatic variations, the moment of passing the plant in flowering mode or to harvest it will be different. The objective is obviously to maximize production and improve its quality.

Before and after each use, users are asked to evaluate their level of pain. This information is sent directly to the Resolve mobile application.

The device is responsible for analyzing various factors such as altitude, barometric pressure or pollen level in the atmosphere depending on the geographical position of the user. The goal? In the near future, the startup hopes that its algorithm will be able to make predictions and recommend plant varieties adapted to the health conditions of each user.
