Trace, an activity sensor for extreme sports by ActiveReplay

[ad_1]

After successfully raising funds on Kickstarter ($ 160,000 raised on a goal of $ 150,000), the Californian start-up ActiveReplay has just launched a activity sensor dedicated to extreme sports: Trace. The object is distinguished from a smart health connected bracelet like the Nike Fuelband in the sense that it must be fixed on a solid surface (board, ski, helmet …), and therefore takes the shape of a case (2cm x 5 cm). With an announced autonomy of 7 hours (charging via micro-USB), it should easily hold an entire sports session!

Trace: a case that recognizes your figures of style!

Obviously, ActiveReplay has thought of the Trace for the most daredevils (waterproofing, shockproof…) who wish measure their craziest performance : It will allow athletes to record many variables (speed, rotation, height, calories) during their style figures, which are also decrypted and modeled by the tracker (backflip, ollie…). With a precision that surprises the most expert, the Trace differs in this sense largely from its competitors like Garmin Etrex Vista. Le Trace surfs on the current trend of social networks and shares performances on Facebook or Twitter.

There is no question of taking the phone during these sessions: the data can be recovered once the session has ended via Bluetooth 4.0 on a mobile application (iOS or Android). Depending on the sport, it will take download the appropriate free application : AlpineReplay, SkateReplay or SurfReplay.

If the release date in Europe has not yet been published, the Kickstarter page of Trace by ActiveReplay announces a release of thesmart health smart health connected object the United States in March 2014, priced at $ 169 (124 €).
