Treat post-traumatic syndrome with an app

Many war veterans suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder. Seeing his father repeatedly prone to anxiety attacks, Tyler came up with the idea of creating a smartwatch app to help his father and war veterans heal.

MyBivy, short for Bivouac, was therefore developed by young Tyler's team, The Cure, During the “hackathon” programming competition, more commonly known as “HackDC”. To work, myBivy can be used with a smartwatch, regardless of the model. When a war veteran sleeps, his heart rate and movements were registered for two weeks and analyzed so that the application can be able to determine the exact symptoms of a seizure.

The purpose of myBivy is to detect the start of an episode in order to extract the wearer from deep sleep without waking him up completely, thus stopping the crisis. With such an invention, no wonder the Cure team has won first prize in the competition and $ 1,500. of the clinical trials to start in early 2016, in partnership with the United States Department of Veterans Affairs.
