Objetconnecte.net had the honor of being a partner of Connect + Event which took place on Thursday, December 8 at the Parc des Expositions of Villepinte. We voted for the Connect + Awards that took place during the event. Among the different categories of prizes awarded, we were particularly interested in the innovative start-ups Meyko and Aroma Therapeutics.

Aroma Therapeutics: or how to be natural and smart health connected

We already talked about Aroma Therapeutics on objetconnecte.net. Laurent Moy, the director of the company, came to our editorial office to present us their project of diffuser of essential oils: Aroma Care. It is a smart health connected device that works on the same principle as a pod coffee machine. Indeed, capsules containing different types of plants with various and varied medicinal properties.

It is therefore not about the scent of natural scents that have beneficial effects for sleep, memory, stress, and other types of health concerns depending on the chosen capsule. Each plant has been chosen for its scientifically proven effects, such as rosemary for example.

For its smart health connected side, the device offers an application that allows you to schedule sessions. This can allow you to broadcast a session of toning capsule in the morning and a capsule for sleep in the evening, all without any intervention on your part. The application also allows you to follow the progress of the session as it unfolds, but also to track your consumption of capsules. Finally, you can even get advice on the product and its capsules to optimize your use.

Anna Zou was present to receive the award on behalf of the company. She took the opportunity to briefly introduce the product and the company Aroma Therapeutics and its goal at Connect + Event: democratize aromatherapy.

Meyko: a cute and useful companion for asthmatic children

The small blue companion of Meyko has already been the subject of a news on our site this week, and it is not a coincidence. Indeed, the product offers a simple and fun solution to solve a real problem: about 50% of treatments against asthma in children would not be taken correctly. This treatment requires a catch in the morning and in the evening, so it is binding and very often repels the children. In addition, parents do not always have the means to know if the child takes his medicine correctly or not.

Meyko is here to remedy all these problems. In addition to waking up and falling asleep at the same time as the user, his mood is related to the treatment of the child: if the medication is taken, the companion is happy, otherwise, he is sad. This allows both to attach the affect of the child and encourage him to heal, but also to create a ritual less restrictive and more playful.

The other interest of the object is its application which keeps parents informed of the evolution of the treatment of their child. They can ensure that the medication has been taken at the right time and that their child is following their medical routine..

Alizée Gottardo came to represent Meyko at Connect + Event, she took the time to remind the hearing of Meyko's presence at January 2017 CES show. Objetconnecte.net will also be at the rendezvous to cover the event and give you the latest information in terms of smart health connected innovation.

Connect + Event: a lounge full of surprises

The Connect + Event was primarily an industry-oriented show and offered very few consumer items. However, a booth caught our attention, both by the intelligence of its solution and by how it could directly impact the lives of all: the smart health connected clothes of Primo 1D. The principle is simple: rather than adding a tag or a plastic tag to each garment, the necessary components are directly incorporated into a thread that is sewn into a seam of each piece.

The thread in question contains everything that may interest the dealer: it serves as a lock, certificate of authenticity, and collection of information about the garment such as stocks, provenance, washing conditions, etc.. The solution is currently presented in the form of a gun capable of instantly tasting as many clothes as it has in range, but it can soon be declined in the form of a more imposing device placed on the ceiling of a store, for example, in order to permanently know the stocks, but also the movements of the parts, wanted or not.

But where is the impact on the general public? Well this could sound the end of the labels. Indeed, once adapted in the form of an application, this smart health connected clothing system would scan all our clothes to authenticate (finished counterfeits), and to know the details of the washing conditions of any room without using a label.

For the moment, the company is seeking contracts with major brands of ready-to-wear in order to democratize his solution as much as possible.
