Tingling, cramps, heavy legs … symptoms of poor blood circulation are numerous, and they are very disabling for athletes, more particularly for the runners. Whether during or after exercise, venous return is essential to avoid fatigue and better recover afterwards.

Under Armor decided to tackle the problem with the creation of a smart shoe that will track the pressure arterial blood pressure of the runner, or of any other sportsman. For now, this is only at the patent stage, and what we see in documents filed at theUS Patent and Trademark Officeis that the American manufacturer is considering two versions of a sports shoe currently in development.

Coupled with a smart health connected bracelet

The first version of the shoe would be equipped with a sensor located in the sole and coupled to a application on a type device smart health connected bracelet or heart rate monitoring. According to the document, the indications returned by the sensor would allow the shoe to be adjusted as best as possible so that blood flow is optimal. We know, sinceAdapt BB from Nike, that it is possible to tighten or loosen a shoe using an application, and also that the venous return takes place from the heel.

The second version of the shoe would have a simple "detector of blood pressure With a display system on the back of the model. In the sketches, we can see a rising basketball shoe, but it is especially in the endurance sports that such a device would be precious.
