A new Kickstarter project wants to take care of managing your sun exposure, this is what it is. Presentation of this direct competitor of Netatmo June.

This project aims to monitoring your UV exposure and measure the amount of Vitamin D generated by your exposure to the sun. The collected data is synchronized with an application on your smartphone. Violet even sends alerts before the user reaches the optimal UV level.

This object is therefore useful for people who tend to be exposed for too long, because they may have cancer but also not enough in the sun because it produces vitamin D very useful for the body. The application for Violet is compatible with IOS and Android. It allows you to configure Violet and wirelessly synchronize all the recorded data for analysis and storage. The app also alerts you when it has been too long since you have been in contact with the sun. This functionality is also interesting.

Ultra, the initiator of the project, explained how the money raised is used. It will launch production and make Purple available in Spring 2015. Each dollar is used to develop the project, the next steps being the Android application, obtaining FCC certifications, and having the tests verified by healthcare professionals. So far the project has only raised a fifth of the funds needed and there are only 20 days left. To be continued…
