Wamiz and Invoxia create a tracker for cats and dogs

Wamiz has teamed up with telecoms giant Invoxia to create an animal-centric community website and launch a new GPS tracker for dog and cat owners.

Simply called the Pet Tracker, the product of Wamiz and Invoxia, can attach to any classic necklace. It thus allows to know the location of their four-legged companion thanks to a dedicated companion application.

Weighing 15g and measuring 42 x 24 x 17 mm, the Pet Tracker has an IP67 waterproof rating so that your pet can go into the water with its tracker; up to a meter deep.

Another good news: you will not have to remove the tracker from the necklace every day to recharge it. Indeed, this little tracker has a six-month autonomy.

In addition to knowing where your dog or cat is, Pet Tracker will also allow you to create safety zones via the application. Ping notifications will then notify you if your pet leaves the designated area.

Another feature: you can also define the monitoring frequency. For example, you can be notified every ten minutes if your pet is traveling. If this is not enough, notifications can also be sent every 3 minutes if the animal is outside the defined geographical area.

This type of smart health smart health connected object is obviously not new but the world of IoT, but Wamiz's partnership with Invoxia makes this tracker one of the rare trackers to use the frequencies of low power and wide range networks (LPWAN) SigFox and LoRa in Europe and the United States.

As for the price, the Pet Tracker will be sold at a price of 99 dollars. A three-year subscription is included in this price. If you are interested in this product, you can pre-order it on the Invoxia website today for delivery scheduled for next June.
