WatchOS 2 – More native apps and features
WatchOS 2, the Apple brand smartwatch Bone update, will bring new native apps and features.
WatchOS 2, unveiled by Tim Cook during the brand's WWDC 2015, will be unveiled this fall. A new Watchkit SDK should allow developers to create new applications that can notably use the digital crown of the watch but also health and orientation sensors, etc. Developers will therefore now be able to access smartwatch components such as the microphone, speakers, accelerometer, etc.
With this new OS, it will also be possible to respond to emails directly from the watch. The apple smartwatch will also feature new watch faces with own images or a short ehealth and make Facetime Audio calls. At night, while you charge it, the watch can also be used as an alarm clock. Among the native applications that will be supported, there is obviously fitness and HomeKit. Siri will also be there to manage these applications.
If the SDK is already available for developers, the WatchOS 2 will be available for free, yes I said for free, this fall; most certainly at the same time as iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan.
