Water sports enthusiasts, discover Wind Gauge!

IFA Berlin is THE place to be at this time of year to present its new products to the public. Netatmo knows this, and therefore presents Wind Gauge, an anemometer that will delight water sports enthusiasts who love technology.

In the form of a plastic cylinder, the anemometer will be able to define the intensity of the winds when a draft enters the device. Ultrasound will measure the direction and force of the wind. If in itself the object does not seem to have much utility in town, it proves to be interesting for people practicing nautical sports like surfing or sailing. The French company said Wind Gauge is weatherproof.

At the battery level, the device should last two years, and is powered by two AA batteries. In addition to the anemometer, a tripod will also be available. The user will be able to attach the Wind Gauge using a standard clip. All the information collected by the anemometer is sent to the smartphone and the dedicated application, on which the user can see statistics and wind history. Wind Gauge will available in October next, for 99 €.
