After Sport Pulse, Jabra continues its momentum by presenting its new model of Sport Coach smart health connected wireless headphones. The ideal accessory for training well in music, with a coach guiding your training.
Sports lovers will be able to continue sweating quietly without ever hacking on a screen thanks to wireless headphones, a technology already used with the previous model. But then why go out in another, what is changing? A few things that make the difference. The language already. Pulse users have realized this, English is nice, but the technical terms are sometimes quite difficult to grasp for non-English speakers, and it's not in sneakers and shorts, hot hot for move our body that we want to take the translation break of the day. So at the risk of misunderstanding, we tried it all the same roughly, not great for security… Sport coach is entirely in French!
It's all very cool, but in practice, how does it work? Already in Bluetooh to connect the earphones to the smartphone, and the dedicated application. A voice explains the procedure to follow in a simple and quick way. A connection to an NFC device is also possible.
Extensive and detailed application
The app allows you to follow, analyze and plan your cross-training. User has 5 predefined workouts 4 to 6 minutes and more 40 different exercises that you can choose according to your level, from beginner to advanced. Plank, pumps, chair … all are detailed to allow the user to adopt the correct position with in addition advice on what to do and what not to do, in order to practice the movements as well as possible. To start them, just press a button on the top of the left earpiece. The coach's voice counts down, giving way to the music, again between five seconds from the end.
In addition to the five workouts available, the application can be customized. By copying the basic training, we can add exercises and compose a sports schedule of our own. All the data collected can be viewed, whether the number of steps taken or the number of calories burned, as well as the sharing function on social networks. Updates are planned to complete the panel of available exercises.
Control your training with headphones
No wire in the legs while we spend so, and the novelty, a small button that avoids tapping on the phone. Located on the top of the left earpiece, it is through it that one goes to start a series of exercises by pressing in seconds. The user at the possibility to suspend training as long as he wants with a pause mode, just as he can choose to switch to another exercise by pressing again. The voice of the coach comes back at the end to take stock of the activity. As with Sport Pulse, the headphones are obviously waterproof and shock resistant.
The ears, like the fingerprints, are unique. Nothing is more annoying than adjusting the headphones because they fall or suffering martyrdom because they are too tight. Several sizes of tips are provided in the box with a size, especially with a size XS. Different earwings are also available, in order to best maintain the earphones. In order to follow your movements, the device is equipped with a TrackFit sensor. When called on the phone, a microphone is also included to continue your workout.
As with Sport Pulse, the headphones also play music meant to help athletes motivate themselves and push their limits. The application allows you to select your music whether on Spotify, Deezer or any other music application on the smartphone. The headphones have a 4.5h autonomy and recharge in 2 hours.
If all these innovations promise training that meets our expectations, it should be noted that Sport Coach is only focused on the cross-training side. No cardio on the horizon so, which is a shame. Sport Coach is available in three colors, blue, red and yellow for 149 € at ehealth, Boulanger and ehealth.
