Wearable Italia unveils its luxury smart bracelets

Fluid, Plus and Annoyed, here is the trio of smart bracelets imagined by the Italian start-up Wearable Italia. Founded in February 2016 by IT engineer Andrea Tomassini, Wearable Italia offers luxury smart health connected objects in limited edition.

The brand name, ProdigIO, has a double meaning: on the one hand, the adjective underlines the beauty of the range, on the other hand, the digital side is evoked by the number 10, discreetly contained in the name of the collection. It refers to the binary digital system typical of computer language.

Wearable Italia ProdigIO

This is not the first Wearable Italia project. The company has already created a robot. "I wanted to understand the Internet of Things and the possibilities that this technology can offer. Explains Andrea Tomassini. Today, the company employs five people. Among them, the famous designer Roberto Ferlito.

It was to him that we were entrusted with the mission of creating the design of these luxury smart health connected objects. All these products are handcrafted by craftsmen from Forli, in northern Italy. Each piece is handmade, hence the fairly high price of the range; from 350 to 500 euros. Fluid, Plus and Contrarié are all available in gold, silver or ruthenium black finishes.

Wearable Italia ProdigIO

Soon, Wearable Italia hopes to develop bags, belts and smart health connected dresses. The company also wants to offer a more affordable range of accessories. Obviously, Wearable Italia wants these products to be just as trendy as its premium range. But for now, the focus is on the ProdigIO collection which is to be launched in December 2017. Only 1,000 pieces will be sold and the first 300 buyers will receive their smart health connected bracelet in a limited edition black wooden box. So, if one of their three products interests you, better hurry up, I think there won't be enough for everyone! The products are for sale on the brand's website.
