webOS will equip LG and Audi smartwatch
So webOS will equip the smartwatch from LG and Audi. Presented at CES, webOS therefore fits into LG watches after having conquered the brand's televisions.
webOS is a bit of a spin on this market dominated by Android Wear. But manufacturers like LG want to use their own platforms to maintain their independence and simplify the development of cross-platform software. Is this a new trend? Will Samsung also generalize its homemade OS?
This webOS watch has evolved since the LG G Watch R, adding a leather finish and a stainless steel strap. It was indeed necessary to improve the quality of the finishes to work with Audi.
Unfortunately, apart from that, we don't have much more info about the watch itself, but this model should be able to control the features offered by the car, including the doors, windows, startup and much more.
No date has been given by LG or Audi regarding the sale, distribution or release date of this webOS smartwatch. We will probably be much more next month, in February, at the Mobile World Congress.
