What to do, what to see this weekend? International Art Film Days, a Gainsbourg exhibition, a documentary on Van Gogh…
It’s a meeting we look forward to every year: for their 16e edition, the International Art Film Days take over the Louvre Museum until January 29, 2023. On the menu? Fifty films in projection in the auditorium, at the single price (and very soft) of four euros per screening, and sometimes accompanied by meetings. To see, this weekend: Friday, at 8 p.m., An Orange Waiting To Be Eaten (Philippe Lainé & Stéphanie Magnant, 2022) recounts choreographer Robyn Orlin’s links with her country, South Africa. Saturday, at 2 p.m., the film Licht (Light). Stockhausen’s legacy (Oeke Hoogendijk, 2021) looks back on the story of a cycle of operas thought up by Karlheinz Stockhausen… lasting 29 hours. Sunday, at 5.30 p.m., we will pay tribute to Soulages with two short films by Jean-Noël Cristiani and Jean-Michel Meurice. What a way to end this last weekend of January in style.
