What's new for Android Wear

Android Wear will be updated soon. Google announced on its blog many new features for all the models available; starting with the LG Watch Urbane smartwatch.

Android Wear will offer basic compatibility via Wifi, and not just via Bluetooth as is currently the case. Thanks to this, the watch will be detectable in a much larger radius; Bluetooth only allowing a connection over approximately 10 meters. Another advantage: continue to receive notifications even if you don't have your smartphone thanks to third-party Wi-Fi hotspots.

Another new feature proposed with the OS update: the applications will remain active on the screen. Even when you lower your arm! The new OS will also make it easier for you to find apps and contacts. For example, by scrolling the screen to the right, you can search for contacts.

Google is also introducing a small layer of gesture control. It will now be possible to navigate through notifications with a simple rotation of the wrist.

Finally, emojis are emerging. Just draw a few contours on the screen for the emoji to be recognized and automatically added to the message to send. In short, a lot of new things that I can't wait to discover!
