Sony has officially announced the arrival of its new bracelet smart health connected: Smartband 2. It will be available in September for 119 €.

Smartband 2 incorporates the features of the first version: daily activity tracking and notifications. The strong point of the Sony smart health connected bracelet remains its Lifelog application. It allows to visualize on a timeline the highlights of the day such as activities, photos taken or music listened to.

As expected since the leak, the real novelty of Smartband 2 is the arrival of a heart sensor, which will measure the heart rate continuously, like the Fitbit Charge HR. According to the brand, this new sensor will also measure the level of stress. It will be possible, in Lifelog, to see the impact on your heart rate of an event such as listening to a particular song, a picture taken, etc.

Waterproof but low autonomy

Notifications are visible through LEDs and an integrated vibratored. The Smartband 2 also allows actions like music control and embeds a smart alarm clock, which will activate at the right time to wake you up. Notably, the Smartband 2 is fully waterproof.
