The Wind Gauge, or anemometer, was already presented at the last CES in Las Vegas last January. She therefore officially joins the brand's rain gauge. For those who had not read my first article, this is a device that will allow users to measure wind speed; as you may have guessed by reading his name. It will give you a better idea of ​​the weather conditions outside. As I said in January, this is a bit like the modern weather vane.

The Netatmo anemometer is designed to operate without any maintenance and uses ultrasound-based technology to measure wind speed. Netatmo says it is the first household wind-measuring device. The measurements made by the Wind Gauge are saved and transmitted via the Wi-Fi network to the mobile application of the Netatmo weather station. Fred Potter, CEO of Netatmo said, "Having local data is essential when measuring the wind as the geography and terrain of the area are critical factors. The anemometer is particularly intended for sailing enthusiasts, golfers and more generally for people who wish to enjoy outdoor activities or garden. "

The anemometer will be powered by conventional AA batteries. It will then have an autonomy of up to two years. Obviously, the housing is designed to withstand the elements and is fixed using a standard tripod attachment. According to Netatmo, it will be marketed from mid-October at a price of 99 euros.
