WING – How to help asthmatics?

[ad_1]

There are some of these projects that try to ride the wave of useless smart health connected objects. There are others, like Wing, which allow us to better experience a chronic or partially trying pathology for the organism. We are not going to laugh with this product, it is serious, it concerns the good of humanity. Respect.

Wing is a sensor developed by a group of scientists which aims to measure the signs preceding a asthma attack. Indeed, the Wing measures two crucial points :

  1. The air volume that your lungs can expire in a single second (FEV1)

  2. The speed to which you can expire (Peak flow)

As such, the Wing performs a double check for each of the actions taken. As you can see, these checkpoints are essential to adapt the patient's treatment, to prevent crises during a sporting activity or to be particularly vigilant when you live in an environment particularly sensitive for asthmatics.

Wing is multiuser and simply connects to the headphone jack on your iPhone for which it is only available. Not requiring no battery, the Wing draws its energy directly from the smartphone. Good news.

Finally, the data and measurements are permanently saved in the Cloud in order to have permanent access and provide all the statistics possible to your attending physician.

The Wing is currently in crowdfunding phase on IndieGoGo and can be pre-ordered for $ 89. Expected delivery in august 2016, after validation by the FDA, of course.
