Divacore returns with brand new headphones made in France. The Lorraine brand was known thanks to Antipods very good headphones created in response to Apple Airpods. The blue, white, red brand offers us this time in-ear headphones with a revisited design.

Divacore's NoMad are ultra small, measuring only 24 mm in height. They are equipped with a case to store and recharge them. Also very discreet, it fits in the Palm of the hand. The two together are very light, not exceeding 68 grams. The NoMad will follow you everywhere, in your daily trips and in your sports sessions thanks to their sealing. Even sweating cannot stop them. Divacore headphones are already available at a price of 99 euros. But what are they really worth? We have tested NoMad for you and we will tell you everything in our article.

NoMad Unboxing

Unboxing is simple. The Divacore brand goes toessential. The cardboard box is sleek and gives the main functionality of the headphones.

Once the cardboard box is open, we discover the headphones and their rigid pouch. The latter is in rounded square shape and white in color. You can also find them in black. On the top there is a transparent headphones icon. It allows you to see if the headphones are charging or if they are on, for example.

Divacore Nomad Cardboard Box and Case

When you open the case, you find the headphones tidy. The box is simple and sober. A charging cable as well as three tips are provided for greater comfort.

The charging station is on the back of the case. When the headphones are charging, a small Red light lights up just below the socket.

Divacore NoMad design and ergonomics

The design of NoMad is very success. The headphones are small and light. Only 5 grams each.

NoMad are small, they can be taken everywhere

However, after a few hours of listening, discomfort may be felt at the level of the daith (the upper part of the lobe) or the inside of the ear. Different tips are provided for greater comfort. However, you have to turn the headphones in all directions to find an almost comfortable position. Even with that, they are still unpleasant to wear. We feels relieved when removed. The shape of the ears and the size of the ear canals may be taken into account here. Small ears like mine, refrain.

NoMad put in the ears

The headphones are all white. A LED screen is located on the top. It indicates whether the headphones are on, searching for a device or on charge. By pressing the central button once, you can take a call, stop or resume playing a song. By pressing twice, it is possible to go to the next track. With three presses on the central button, it is possible to activate the Outdoor Sport mode. Function which we will come back to later.

NoMade Divacore control button

The button is not not well placed. When pressed, they enter the ear. It's not not comfortable.

The white box is aesthetic. She is small, simple, refined and light. No frills, it gets to the point. However, given its color and its material, it gets dirty very quickly. A little dirty hands, the bottom of the bag, we often tend to clean it.

Using Divacore headphones

Divacore headphones are good headphones. They are, however, dissociated from each other. Depending on the taste, this can be an advantage or a defect. For example, you can lend a headset to a friend, pair one to your computer, and the other to your phone. However, you will have to pair them one after the other. This requires pressing the button on each earpiece.

NoMad put themselvesopen in standby mode. A few seconds of exposure to music and that's it, it's necessary to associate them again. The goal is to save battery. By the very admission of Divacore. A more than questionable choice.

Other than that, the headphones are easy to connect. We press the button, we wait for the blue light to appear. It's good, it's smart health connected.

Blue LED on NoMad divacore

Regarding the sound quality, NoMad are only not exceptional, but completely acceptable. The treble and the bass are ok. Nevertheless, the sometimes saturates her and the sound scene is not necessarily always well reproduced. For headphones less than 100 euros, the sound quality remains acceptable.

The call quality is correct. A microphone is placed in each earpiece. When you're in a calm environment, a small resonance is heard. Thecall is still correct. However, when we are on the street, phone calls become very complicated. The caller can no longer hear us at all. We often tend to iron directly on the smartphone. It's a fairly recurring problem in in-ear. Given their small size and their position, when the environment is noisy, it makes sense that the voice carries less.

The manufacturers have chosen to decrease battery life to make headphones more compact. The autonomy is therefore lower than on Antipods. However, it remains correct. A refill offer three hours of listening. By placing them in the case, we can get 15 hours charge. NoMads are fully charged in one hour. They therefore leave a little time to listen to his music. But not too long anyway.

Divacore headphones are equipped with the ANC technology, which allows noise reduction. This feature is not necessarily the one that jumps out first, or rather the eardrums. She stays however sufficient. At medium volume, we are a little locked in its bubble, not necessarily discerning the surrounding noises. The design of the earbuds being imagined to resemble earplugs. Airpods absent from the AirPods tenor

NoMad have the outdoor sport functionality / transparent sound. This mode allows preserve outside noise in order to realize your sport session in all security. With this feature, you can for example hear a car approaching you. On paper this is an interesting function. In practice, it is a mitigated ANC.

Divacore NoMad facing the competition

More and more earphone manufacturers are getting into in-ear and true wireless. Aside from Apple, which took a risk with the Airpods, the design of these new headphone models are quite similar. However, what changes is the price, sound quality and ANC, all new in headphones. How are the NoMad doing in the face of competition?

Airpods:

How the Nomads are doing in the face of intra-ear competition

Apple's Airpods were among the first true wireless headphones. Like most apple brand items you will not be able to get the most out of these headphones than other Apple devices. In terms of sound, this is not not the best that you can find, but it remains all the same of very good quality. Airpods offer a very good call quality as well as over five hours of autonomy. However, they do not have the ANC, being too old for that. Count 160 euros to get them for you.

Sony WF-1000x:

How the Nomads are doing in the face of intra-ear competition

Those are the first in-ear wireless with active noise reduction to the world – have since been caught up. These headphones are comfortable and comfortable to wear. They also offer very good quality audio. Active noise reduction is a marketing blow here rather than a boost to audio quality. You can find them at the price of 129 euros.

Jabra Elite Sport

Perfect for those looking for in-ear for sport. The Jabra Elite Sport are certified waterproof IPX7. They can also very well suitable for daily use. It has a very good sound. After listening for a long time, a feeling of embarrassment may be felt. You will have to pay 170 euros to get them for you.

Anker Soundcore Liberty Lite

How the Nomads are doing in the face of intra-ear competition

Anker's liberty Lite are very efficient and only priced at 60 euros. They have a Excellent value. They are comfortable and waterproof, can therefore be suitable for a sports session. The sound is correct without being extraordinary, but at that price, you should not push.

Divacore NoMad Review conclusion

The Divacore NoMad are therefore from good headphones who have a acceptable price / quality ratio. In addition, they are compact and light. It is possible to take them everywhere even to their sports sessions. Despite their compact design, a little discomfort is felt after a few minutes of use. They quickly become unpleasant and there, we don't forget at all that we wear them.

Furthermore, their autonomy is a bit weak against some competitors or even NoMad + the higher version. They have 3 hours and a case that can offer them 15 hours charge. So you can recharge 4 times your headphones. Whereas with NoMad +, you will be able to go up to 60 refills. The big brothers of NoMad are indeed equipped with a 5000 mAh battery. For 20 euros more, it makes a real difference. In addition, they have a best sound for about the same weight at the headphones. After our Divacore NoMad Review, we therefore advise you to turn to NoMad + very good headphones made in France at a price of 119 euros.

Design and Ergonomics : The design is very successful. The headphones are small and light. The case is also simple and refined. We can all the same reproach him for the white color which gets dirty quickly as well as the shape of the headphones which after a long listening can become unpleasant

Ease of use : the buttons are easy to use. The only downside is that they are dissociated from each other which makes the pairing a bit long.

Sound quality : Good quality for its price. however, it is not exceptional.

Features : The ANC is superfluous here. We do not feel the difference and the shape of the headphones already reduces the noise. the sporting function is appreciated.

Quality / Price ratio : Correct quality / price ratio. However, we advise you to turn to NoMad +.
