Xiaomi Smarthome: We are launching a long-term Review of smart health home devices (Part 1)
[ad_1]
So far, various intelligent health home solutions and devices have been redesigned to provide comfort, create comfort and last but not least to secure the health home in which they are installed. We have tested various devices from various manufacturers, but we haven't been deeply involved with Xiaomi yet. But that is now changing. We are currently starting a long-term smart device Review from this company, which will be divided into several specific articles, as well as videos.
In this introductory article we will briefly introduce the devices with which we will start the long-term Review. Gradually, more will be added to these devices to integrate them into a common ecosystem and create interesting, but in practice well-to-use, and practically applicable automations. We are most interested in the stability of the system, the functionality of individual devices and of course the control that is within one application – Mi health home (free for Android / iOS). We are also interested in the work of equipment, respectively. their control and control outside the health home.
What are we starting with?
The security base of our household will be – Mi Smart Sensor Set, which supports connecting and controlling multiple devices from the Xiaomi ecosystem. Thanks to the central unit and sensors, you can have an overview of the whole health home, as well as control and control the smart health connected devices / appliances. This set includes a control unit, 2 motion sensors, 2 window and door sensors, and 1 wireless switch. We have to commend the design and processing of these devices right from the start. Every single device is precisely processed (in white), very sleek and intrusive in the health home. This example also shows how Xiaomi wants to resemble Apple, as the package itself is very similarly designed.
It also needs to be on, right? We can't miss the lights in the Review, and we have three devices at our disposal. The first is a smart RGB LED bulb (Xiaomi Yeelight Smart LED) with adjustable light intensity and the ability to change the color range. This bulb is basically ordinary, but by being able to communicate wirelessly with other devices, we will be able to plug it into automation, for example, to create an evening atmosphere. In addition, it can synchronize with the TV or currently playing music to change colors. We are curious about it!
Another product is Yeelight LED RGB Strip Plusthat can be very nicely integrated into any health home. Ideally, it should be hidden so that it completes the background of a TV or illuminates a shelf or kitchen. This LED strip excels in its flexibility and easy extensibility (we also have an LED strip). It is powered from the 230V power supply supplied by the adapter, and an integrated controller is also available. You can easily synchronize the color and intensity of light with the rhythm of your favorite music to create a relaxing atmosphere. The advantage is also the availability of various pre-programmed scenes and communication with Google Now and Amazon Alexa.
The latest smart device that will help us with lighting is a simple design delicacy – Mi LED Ceiling light. It is a relatively large, but practically processed LED luminaire in any space with little to see installation method – the light has an innovative quick-release module, making it easy to plug in. The so-called electro amateur could also do it. Of course there is the possibility of changing the color temperature of light from 2700 to 6500 Kelvin and brightness range from 0.1 to 2200 lumens. Light communicates via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi with Mi health home and other devices, and has one specific whip – connectable to the Mi Band (unspecified version), which can automatically turn it off if you fall asleep. Interesting, we will definitely try! There is also support for voice assistants – Google Now and Amazon Alexa.
Finally, we come to a device that will take care of cleanliness and comfort in the health home. Yes, you guess correctly, we will also include a robotic vacuum cleaner in the Xiaomi Ecosystem Review – Xiaomi Xiaowa Lite. It is an entry model that should always provide a clean floor, and we hope it will move around the health home as precisely as possible. This model, according to the manufacturer, can work up to 150 minutes on a single charge – thanks to 2600 mAh lithium-ion battery. It also assesses the need to recharge the battery by returning to the charging station and starting an automated charging process. The robotic vacuum cleaner features a HEPA filter that can catch even the finest dust particles and allergens. Regular vacuuming should also contribute to better health home air without dust.
The easily removable dust container has a capacity of 0.64 liters and is sufficient for quick cleaning of small and medium-sized households. The advantage is the passability of the thresholds at the level of 2 cm and of course the control via the application and the possibility of connecting the vacuum cleaner to the automation. The Xiaomi Xiaowa Lite robotic vacuum cleaner offers multiple cleaning modes (edge / corner cleaning, free space cleaning, back cleaning and on-site cleaning) and is equipped with six groups of infrared sensors to detect real-time obstacles in time. The dual gyro inertial navigation system, in combination with dual optical motion tracking and other sensors, helps the vacuum cleaner to always achieve the optimum planned cleaning path.even outside the health home), planning weekly or daily cleaning and checking its progress. We are really looking forward to testing this device, finally someone will volunteer to vacuum!
How will we control and control the household?
We will use different devices, but the main one will be – Xiaomi Redmi 6. It is a relatively new mid-range model with a 6.26 ”HD + display with DOT drop cutout (tear), up to 86.43% of the front is the display itself. Miss a decent camera – 12 MP main sensor + 2 MP secondary sensor. However, we are most interested in the performance and stability of the system, as this phone will serve as the control unit and controller of the entire intelligent health home. The smooth running is to take care of Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 processor, which is seconded to 3 GB of RAM. The internal memory has a capacity of 32 GB and is expandable with a microSD memory card up to a maximum capacity of 512 GB. There is also a biometric security device, which is in charge of the fingerprint sensor in the back and present is a basic face unlocking, which is controlled by the AI algorithm. Redmi 7 also has P2i certification (splash water resistance). We will also need a long battery life per charge, which should be ensured by an integrated battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh.
Xiaomi's long-term and detailed smart health home Review begins and you have something to look forward to. All of the above devices, as well as many more products, can be found at – www.mi-store.sk
