Xplora Go – A smartwatch suitable for all ages

Xplora, the Norwegian company best known for its smartwatches for children, has officially announced its new wearable; the Xplora Go smartwatch.

Xplora Go has been designed so that it can be used by everyone and at any age. The first time we heard about it was in August of last year; it was then called Dule X. In addition to a name change, Xplora announced a price starting at 69.99 pounds sterling. Additional accessory kits are also available, starting at £ 17.99 pounds. Finally, everything will be available next April.

So what exactly does Xplora Go do? Well, everything will depend on the version you choose. Basically, however, the smartwatch has a face that combines features such as GPS, location, an SOS button, geographic areas, Wi-Fi and network coverage.

The Xplora Go is designed for five specific use cases. For children, the elderly, pets, bicycles and items such as suitcases and laptops. So in the case of the pet, for example, it can monitoring the location of your pet, while the senior version can be used as an SOS button to allow owners to tell members of their families or their caregivers if they have had an accident. This is where these additional accessories come in to personalize the wearable.

As I told you in the introduction, Xplora already offers smart watches for children and its Care watch for the elderly. These use cases therefore do not constitute new territory for the company. But it will be interesting to see if its reasonably priced wearable will also appeal to pet and bicycle owners.
