Yerka is the impossible to steal bike (or not)

[ad_1]

In recent times, we have seen many smart health connected bicycle projects. The one who is certainly the most talked about is the famous Vanhawks Valor, who raised another 1.6 million dollars a few days ago. The latter was a great success on Kickstarter, reaching 8 times the target. The start-up behind the Yerka smart bike plans to do the same, on IndieGoGo.

The frame becomes the padlock

If the Vanhawks bike stands out on a series of intelligent features, Yerka focuses only on security. What do you mean ? Using the bike frame as a padlock that can rotate around an axis (the pictures speak for themselves) to come around a pole. The manipulation is announced as very fast, of the order of 10 seconds maximum. No risk either of getting your hands dirty with each operation, says the founders. We can understand the interest of a padlock on such a nice bike, which can be available in several colors depending on the collection objectives achieved (pink, black, green …).

Currently, the fundraising goal is $ 50,000, with 72% of this fundraising goal and 41 days remaining. But if the start-up were to cross $ 200,000, it will offer to open and close the padlock in Bluetooth, directly from a mobile application. You know what you have left to do ! The price is set at $ 399, with delivery in October 2015.
